Nuka Cola Bottles, Fallout 4

Created for the Wasteland Exports group’s traveling convention booth, this set of Nuka-Cola bottles from Fallout 4 was produced on a short turnaround time in 2018.

The bottles were 3D modeled in Autodesk Fusion 360 and printed on an FDM printer. The standard and "Cherry" variants were painted with opaque acrylics to match their in-game appearance. For the Nuka-Cola Quantum variant, the bottle was printed in transparent filament and features a custom-made internal enclosure housing eight white LEDs to achieve its signature glow. This shell was then painted with a white base and light blue transparent paint to effectively diffuse the internal lighting.

Each label was designed in Adobe Illustrator and printed on vinyl paper using an inkjet printer before being applied to the bottles. The bottles then received a satin clear coat to protect the paint and labels. The project was completed by painting the caps with chrome lacquers and weathering the bottles to give them the appearance of being kicked around the wasteland for a couple hundred years.
