Kylo Ren's Lightsaber Hilt, The Last Jedi
Kylo Ren's lightsaber hilt from The Last Jedi was an early project crucial to developing my fine detail 3D modeling skills. Started in 2016, the model was refined over several years as my proficiency grew.
The 3D modeling was done in Autodesk Fusion 360, and the components were printed using SLA resin. After clean-up, the hilt was painted only with airbrush acrylics and lacquers as this was early in my painting career. The main body was finished in black acrylics, while the internal chrome parts were painted using gloss lacquers and chrome ink. The crossguard sections feature faux heat scorching achieved with transparent inks. The small red greeblie at the bottom was given a subtle anodized red finish.
