Boba Fett's Helmet, 1313 (Inspired)

This project provided an exciting opportunity to inject my own style into the paint application of the helmet. Inspired by the canceled Star Wars 1313 video game, this piece imagines what Jango Fett’s helmet would have looked like years after it was donned by Boba Fett.

This helmet was built upon my existing Book of Boba Fett helmet base. It was cast in urethane resin, then modified: the signature forehead dent and cheek greeblie were filled with epoxy clay to match Jango Fett’s original helmet.

The helmet received a base coat of 2K gloss chrome, which was finished with a satin clear coat to simulate a realistic metal surface. Paint damage was simulated using latex masking before applying the blue colors, and the paint was subsequently scuffed and weathered. The final weathering simulates the grimy, industrial environments where the 1313 video game would have taken place.
