Expanding on my previous Mandalorian Season 2 Boba Fett replica work, I was commissioned to fabricate the full set of “Post Sarlacc” armor. This project is divided into two sections; the armor and the jetpack. The whole project was completed in a short turnaround of about a month of work.

I already had a set of 3D models prepared from my previous “Re-Armored” Boba Fett build. This time around, the armor was printed in ASA filament to achieve an ideal weight to strength ratio. Everything except the gauntlets was still backed with fiberglass for maximum durability. Every piece received a layer of texture using thinned body filler to match the surface of the screen-used armor.

The armor was base coated with a bright chrome paint. Patterns were then masked with liquid latex to simulate paint damage. Custom-mixed acrylics were used for the color application, and all decals were added using cut vinyl stencils. The paint was finished with a matte clear coat and a heavy buildup of weathering.

All of the work described above was completed in-house, with the exception of the following: the aluminum gauntlet darts/flamethrower nozzles/knee darts (MachineCraft Replicas), the chest display (Westby Electronics), and right gauntlet side switches (sourced from NeoFett)
